Baroness Lawrence & The Stephen Lawrence Foundation Launch Short-Film For ‘Stephen Lawrence Day’

Baroness Lawrence and The Stephen Lawrence Foundation have shared a short-film by directed by Simon Frederick, that marks the launch of Stephen Lawrence Day, that will take place next year.

Back in 1993, Stephen Lawrence was a victim of a racially-motivated attack whilst waiting for his bus in South-East London. Many years later and with the aim to make a monumental and legacy-holding change, The Stephen Lawrence Foundation, founded by mother Baroness Lawrence, will be working with a variety of schools to offer education and businesses a chance to up-skill in order to create job opportunities for marginalized young people in the UK.

This short film has an an array of cameo’s from all backgrounds, from Culture, Media and Politics, with notable names including Sir Trevor McDonald, Suzette Llewellyn, Jon Snow, Kwame Kwei-Armah, Denise Lewis OBE, Beverly Knight MBE and more! Marking the launch of the Stephen Lawrence Day that will take place on the 22nd April 2021, this thought-provoking and emotive film is led by a poem narrated by Max Cyrus.
