Fabian Edwards is one of the UK’s most highly rated young MMA fighters with an unbeaten record of 7 -0. He moved to Birmingham from Jamaica at a young age. Fabian trains out of his home town, at Team Renegade with his brother, UFC fighter Leon Edwards. Whilst his MMA prowess is clear to see, Fabian also has another passion.

“Music is a massive part of my training and life as a fighter, it makes me flow better on the mat and just focus better in general. I find myself getting locked into the beat which helps with striking and working combinations sometimes”

Mixtape Madness caught up with Fabian Edwards ahead of his match and discussed all things music.

“My dream is to headline a Birmingham main event for Bellator and to have MIST perform live on my walkout, like when Stormzy performed Shut Up for Anthony Joshua. We’re both from the same area in Birmingham so that’d be sick!”

Fabian’s current walk on song is ‘Woke Up’ by Dave East. Mixtape Madness were lucky enough to get an exclusive a run down of his favourite tunes to blast whilst training. We have put all the songs in a playlist so that you too can train like a champion.

Six of Edwards seven career wins have come via stoppage, including five in the opening round. Fabian was in action last month when he scored a first-round TKO finish of Falco Neto at Bellator Europe 2 with an outrageous upkick knockout.

Edward’s has been deemed as one to watch, any smart MMA fan would do good to keep up with this one. Fabian can be found on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
