In a video released by Mic last night, a video featuring an all-star cast of celebrities came together to address the ‘23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are Black in America’.

In a black and white video, the starts give a one sentence explanation of ways that a person of colour was shot due to doing normal everyday things. Along with the reasons, came a picture of the victims who have passed due to their circumstances.

This video was called since the uproar of the past shootings in America involving Alton Sterling, Philando Castile and the Dallas shooting. The video is a call to Obama and Congress to finally take measure and stop the unnecessary violence.

After listing a few of the victims of violence, the film moves toward a call to action given by Keys.

‘The time for change is now,’ she says. ‘We demand radical transformation to heal the long history of systemic racism so that all Americans have the equal right to live and to pursue happiness.’

‘23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are Black in America’ asks viewers to go to WeAreHereMovement.com to petition President Barack Obama and Congress to make the necessary steps towards equality. Fans are encouraged to use the hashtag #23Ways to raise awareness about the project.
