Fiona Lamptey Is Netflix’s New Director Of UK Features

Netflix’s newly created role, Director of U.K. Features, has been appointed to Fiona Lamptey. The film producer is notably recognised for her Royal Opera House debut, “Aisha and Abhaya“, and spending nine years as a contributor at Channel 4 – producing John Boyega’s debut film, “Attack The Block” – and Film 4.

A progressive shift in British cinema and Netflix’s listings is anticipated as the position sees that Lamptey identifies and develops material into feature films. Her company, Fruit Tree Media, operates under an ethos that under-represented talent can be developed and original stories can be cultivated, all powered through her expertise.
