Introducing Akelle Charles AKA Astar

Akelle Charles, 23, was born and raised in Shepherds Bush, London. The Charles family was where it all started, managed by Jonathan Shalit, (N Dubz, Charlotte Church and more) leading to Akelle touring England between the young ages of 12 to 14 performing along side some of the biggest names in the industry. The Charles family who were musically made up of his two sisters and well known RNB singer ‘Angel’ worked as a group which created a stepping stone for Akelle’s music career.

With influences from D Block, Jay Z, Cassidy, Lauren Hill, Lady Antebellum and UK artist Wretch 32, Akelle founded a love for Rap, Soul Hiphop and Country music, creating a foundation to his musical path.

More recently, rapper and singer, Akelle has been working with a number of reputable artists such as Wiley, Scorcher, Swiss, Scrufizzer & many more leading the way to his anticipated album titled, ‘Retakes’.

Prior to the release of Retakes, Akelle is currently working on a number of projects, one being ‘Induction Day’ EP. Induction Day will consist of six tracks and features from YJ, Skripture and an exclusive cypher, set to hit the scene in May 13th 2014.

Whilst coordinating his stirring portfolio, Akelle is about to reinforce his name amongst the entertainment spectrum.
