South African-born and South Manchester-raised rapper KGOSI, pronounced as ‘Koh-Si’ has unveiled his brand new offering titled, Zoo Keeper.

Posing as one of Manchester’s freshly-emerging artists, KGOSI layers slick and honest wordsmith over the head-bopping production. Putting his own modern spin on Hip-Hop, he’s best known for encompassing pulsing melodies and all-round vibrant vibes to create a fresh sound.

Speaking on the release, KGOSI commented; “At the time of writing ‘Zoo Keeper’ I had just lost my job due to COVID-19 and it was crazy because it was the first time I didn’t have a job since I got financial responsibilities. I felt uninspired and stuck with releasing music because I had to use what money I had to just survive instead of putting some towards my music campaigns. When it came to writing the song, I wanted to take the listener through my journey from an ambitious uni student to me struggling in the real world. I wanted the song to make people want to dance when it came on, so I wrote the chorus as if I were singing it in the middle of a lit party.”
