South East London has produced a string of class act grime artists as highlighted in my article The Grass is Bluer On The Otherside but as you I keep my ears close to the streets and next trust me when I say Oboi is coming with heat.

Oboi aged 23 is a grime mc / rapper phenomenon hailing from south east London, O’s incorporates the issues that go on around him in his grime songs and satisfies a females ear through his hip hop songs blending a nice balance together to produce a formula of unique UK music.

Oboi first broke through the scene with his powerful rendition of the wifey riddim profoundly covered by tinie tempah and produced by flukes, around the 05′ period oboi gained just under a million views and listens opening the eyes and ears of all females in London. After a long break trying to overcome many issues faced amonst young men of today he has now set his eyes on music and is ready for his first mixtape to drop entitled “The Breakthrough”, which gives us an insight to what type of artist oboi is, mixtape madness’s very own DJ Kenny opens the mixtape with a 5 tune grime mix along with exclusive skits of artists in the UK Hip Hop & Grime scene supporting Oboi, then goes into some really powerful joints which will definitely have your rewind button on loop.
