Shamil sets forth his ambient new track called “Sohana”

US newcomer –  Shamil, has shared his ambient new offering called, ‘SOHANA’. In addition to an impressive visual accompaniment shot in London.

Already drawing comparisons to the likes of The Weeknd and PARTYNEXTDOOR; thanks to the release of his most recent single ‘Cola’ that immediately caught the ears of Bronz of 13 Life, an A&R scout for major artists including, Post Malone. Who has taken Shamil under their wing to help him reach his full potential. Furthermore the singer’s tendency to lay his melodic vocals atop of atmospheric backdrops has already seen him hailed as the latest potential pop/R&B wonderkid to emerge from the states and “SOHANA” is yet another example of why.

The 21-year-old, Alaskan singer exudes pure emotion in his latest offering, from his deep laments over his past lover to the rich alt-R&B styled backing. There’s no doubt that this won’t become a mainstay on many of our chilled playlists! 

Elaborating on the premise of the track, Shamil shares: “Sohana is about a girl that I was talking to at the time that had a wild lifestyle, yet I was more interested in the person she was than the type of life she lived.

My emotions and feelings took over the logic of the situation. Even though I wasn’t into the type of stuff she was into, I really didn’t care. I want people to see how lust and attraction can cloud your decisions and judgement when it comes to certain people.”
