DJ AG has been announced as the headliner for Emerge East, the free East London festival returning to Barking Riverside on Saturday 12 September, with its biggest music programme yet.
Known for turning London’s streets and public spaces into stages, DJ AG has built a huge following through his viral livestreams and surprise appearances from the likes of Skepta, Central Cee, Jorja Smith, Craig David and Ed Sheeran. At Emerge East, he’ll headline a line-up also featuring DJ Mak 10, Glade Marie, RAIDAA and Donnie Sunshine.
Beyond the music, there’s plenty more to do throughout the day, with something for everyone:
Riverside Sauna, curated by Katie Bracher of Sauna Master UK, bringing global bathing rituals, heat, cold contrast and steam to the riverside
Pollenarium, a new six-metre immersive artwork from internationally renowned UK artist Luke Jerram and US-based Pneuhaus
Street food from the likes of Pizza Pazzi and NOODLEHUB, alongside English wine spritzers from Vine Street
Creative workshops and independent makers
Boxing, Double Dutch, roller skating and street football
Music, dance and performances throughout the day
Running 11am–9pm by the Thames, Emerge East brings together music, art, food, culture and wellbeing in one riverside setting – and it’s completely free to attend.
Emerge East takes place on Saturday 12 September 2026. Entry is free, with visitors encouraged to register in advance via Eventbrite.
