“My name is Little Simz and see you next time at the Pyramid.” These were Little Simz’s closing words during her Glastonbury 2022 West Holt headline set, and on Saturday 29th June 2024,  she made good on the promise,  performing on Glastonbury’s historic Pyramid Stage,  as second to headliner before Coldplay.

The Mercury & BRIT Award-Winning rapper showcased a wide range of her discography since arising in the scene back in 2014, including tracks from 2021’s Mercury Music Prize-winning record “Sometimes I Might Be Introvert” and 2022’s surprise drop “NO THANK YOU” alongside her largely popular 2018 single “101 FM”. Across an hour set and delivering a set list which encompassed songs from her full catalogue of music – Little Simz proved that music with substance will always stand the test of time, with attendees gathering in their thousands to witness yet another iconic performance at Glastonbury.

Simz collaborated with award-winning artist Jeremy Cole on the creative direction for her Pyramid Stage performance, who has been a close and kindred spirit, helping to realise her vision across several projects over the past years.  Presenting something powerful and timeless, in Cole’s own words; “We wanted to create a world that represented the whole of the Little Simz sound. From the opening, the show guides you into her world and then all across it – because that world is so vast we wanted to lean into minimalism so there’s little distraction, but still feels like you’re stepping into new environments for every song. I think Simz wanted to do something that felt like a landmark and represented exactly where she’s at as an artist.”

A truly remarkable set from a remarkable artist, Little Simz is a real star amongst us.
