Mixtape Madness launched our first UK event with Size? that will continue to host a series of cypher sessions across the country. The first, in London’s Carnaby Street, was held on the 18th of May, and sold out in a single day. Providing pure vibes and serious energy, each performer gave their all in genres of rap, grime, and drill.

Hosted by Tweeko and Joce Wavy, the night started with emerging drill artists TS Lagga and Ty Leone. Both of who are ones to keep an eye on this year, with a growing fanbase forming behind them. Taking part in the Cypher were JSYDJXNZAY, and Tyno Got It. Going back to back, on a mic that had the crowd go crazy. The concept of a cypher stretches back to the birth of hip-hop culture, and even with innovation at the forefront of Mixtape Madness, traditional methods do work best at times.

The night ended with a special performance from Next Up’s rising star JBee, who is on everyone’s radar right now as one of the UK’s most exciting prospects. And drinks supplied across the evening were provided by Duppy Share.

Our cyphers are back for another three more times in Cardiff, Glasgow, and Liverpool from June to September, with tickets available via a raffle on the Size? app for free.

We’ll see you at the next cypher!
