Noah Kahan welcomes surprise guests Lewis Capaldi and Gracie Abrams at BST Hyde Park

The Vermont-born folk singer-songwriter welcomed man-of-the-moment Lewis Capaldi – who has just hit Number One in the UK Charts with new single Survive – on stage for a heart-stopping duet, joining forces to sing Kahan’s track Northern Attitude together. The headline set began with All My Love, followed by Kahan’s trademark tracks New Perspective and False Confidence. Everywhere Everything, featuring the brilliant Gracie Abrams, was just a taster of the excitement to come.

“I came to London and played to 77 people and it was the greatest day,” he told fans. “There’s a lot more here tonight… I love this city so much!”

He later invited support slot star Gigi Perez to the stage to perform ‘Call Your Mom’, before the encore saw Kahan emerge on stage in a Chelsea FC shirt. “This song is about being an asshole from the north,” Kahan laughed as he launched into Northern Attitude. Then, as the second verse began, another figure, also in a Chelsea FC shirt, appeared: Lewis Capaldi. The musical pair strummed through the lyrics together to a roar of screams from the crowd, with Capaldi hitting every top note.
