East London charity You Make It has announced Love, You Make It, a one-night-only fundraising evening with Olivia Dean at Hackney Church on Wednesday 18 November 2026.
Marking 15 years of the charity’s work, and a hope for its future, the night will bring together conversation, spoken word and a stripped-back set from Olivia, with all proceeds going to the East London charity.
At a time when the world seems to be turning away from each other, the evening is about practising love out loud: for every immigrant woman whose bravery started our stories, for the women of You Make It, and for every woman still waiting for an open door.
Standing tickets are available only through a prize draw on Crowdfunder, with entries starting at just £10 to win a pair of tickets.
Olivia Dean said: “Black and Brown women deserve to have their voices heard and their talents appreciated across our creative industries. We are magical and powerful! YMI’s presence and their support of the women that need it is essential and I’m so happy I can be a part of this evening that can help continue the important work they do.”
Asma Shah, Founder and CEO of You Make It, said: “At its core, You Make It is about love, community and solidarity, at a time when there isn’t enough love shown in the world. Our women hold so much talent, potential and power, but systems too often work against them. Right now, funders are saying no to almost everything, and the backlash against inclusion is growing. We’re a proud organisation. We know this work is about justice, and nights like this show that people still want to stand with us. Olivia, Emily (her manager) and their team have given us a lifeline that we needed to continue this work,
