1 Jul 2022
With the Crystal Palace line up already underway, Wireless season has truly arrived.
Announced as lead digital short form content partner of this year’s festival, YouTube Shorts will be making an appearance at the big event.
Hosting 1.5 billion logged-in monthly users, the platform will be supercharging the fan experience before, during and after the festival. From this week, Lil Baby, Mahalia and Central Cee will be offering fans a chance of winning VIP tickets and a meet & greet on-site. To enter, fans will simply need to create a YouTube Short showing their Fit, Moves or Squad and tag it #Wireless.
Those attending each Wireless venue (Finsbury Park, Crystal Palace and Birmingham) will also be able to drop by the Shorts Stop, where they can create their Shorts live and direct from the festival. With three specially designed booths for Lil Baby, Mahalia and Cench respectively, fans could win an upgrade to VIP on the day!
Speaking on the partnership, Sheniece Charway, YouTube Music Artist Relations Manager explained: “Wireless is a seminal moment in the Black British music calendar so we are excited to be partnering with them to bring artists and fans closer than ever before. YouTube Shorts is the perfect medium for expression at a festival, giving fans the chance to show themselves living their best lives at Wireless, and we can’t wait to see a new fan-driven side to the festival.”
