Chart Update: Dave proves he’s the nations favourite
30 Jul 2021
Drum roll please, it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for…
Last week national treasure, Dave released his sophomore album “We’re All Alone In This Together” and the star has out done himself once again; not only from a sonic stand-point but from a sales angle too. Dave boasts shifting an impressive 74,000 units which marks one of the most remarkable first weeks we’ve seen in UK rap history. As a result, he is set to receive a Silver award for the project and currently has 11 out of 12 singles in a top 20 positions today. Following a very successful roll out, it seems that the buzz from the new project has extended itself to the resurrection of “Psychodrama” as it takes a big leap from number 84 to 40.
This knocks KSI, who held a number one position the previous week off the top of the board and down to number 4. The Youtuber-turned rapper dominated the charts with his two week old project, “All Over The Place.”
Some new entries this week include, Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow’s controversial single “Industry Baby” at 13 and TikTok sound savant, PinkPantheress who’s short singles “Pain” (53), Passion” (76) and “Break It Off” (87) each make their first appearance.
Be sure to check in again next week for further updates…
