Alpha Industries and artist Chemical X have recreated the 1991 Ministry of Sound MA-1 bomber jackets, an iconic piece of London club history.
Launched exclusively last Thursday at Dover Street Market during Frieze Week, the limited-edition release comprises just 35 signed and numbered jackets, each featuring bespoke embroidery by Chemical X, who designed the club’s original logo.
The launch coincides with the release of Ministry of Sound: Anthology, published by Rizzoli New York. Documenting the club’s history and cultural influence, the 416-page book brings together archival photography, previously unseen memorabilia and ephemera from its early years.
