80Purppp Drops New Single ‘release! (THE KRAKEN)’

London artist 80Purpp has come through with his new single, ‘release! (THE KRAKEN)’. The track was recorded in Edmonton, Canada, and draws inspiration from the likes of Sampha and Mac Miller.

Born in Harrow with Ghanaian heritage, 80Purppp has developed an unconventional style that blurs the boundaries of Hip-Hop and R&B. His latest offering was influenced by a trip to Paros, Greece, where the artist embarked on a personal odyssey.

Speaking on the release, the artist states:

“The song is about what people tend to do when given knowledge that they don’t wanna hear, specifically when they claim they want it.”
