UK Rap superstar and Manchester’s very own Aitch has come through with his first release of the year, ‘Round 2’, marking a new chapter in his career following the release of his first album. The track has a nostalgic feel thanks to the guitar-driven instrumental, as Aitch glides over the beat with a multitude of flows.

Last year saw the rapper reach new heights thanks to his collaboration with Ashanti on ‘Baby’; one of the biggest songs of the year across any genre. The Manchester native followed this up with ‘Close To Home’, a debut album that reached number 2 in the Official UK Charts. These successes have allowed Aitch to be a headliner at Parklife this year, his hometown festival.

Speaking on the track, Aitch said:

“I released my album after five years in the game and in my eyes those five years were just round one. I’ve got a 12 round fight to complete, ding f*cking ding.”

It is thus clear that Aitch sees this song as a new beginning in his career, finishing the first chapter of his artistry and moving on to bigger things. The rapper is already established as one of the biggest names in UK Rap, but Aitch will be hungry to solidify his position at the pinnacle for many years to come.
