Following on from the success of his latest album entitled ‘Flu Game’, AJ Tracey launched a Flu Game All Stars Basketball tournament alongside a slew of boast-worthy guests that took place at the Copper Box Arena on April 20th alongside Joe Ikhinmwin, Deandre Liggins, Jordan Spencer and Kevin Ware from the London Lions Basketball team.

In celebrating the launch of his sophomore album, AJ Tracey has pulled out all the stops for this impressive body of work that is set to sit high in the charts this week. Taking influence from Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls team back in the late 90s, AJ references a memorable – now historic – moment where Michael Jordan was able to push through food poisoning and still win the game, despite the challenges that came with it; an ode to AJ Tracey always being able to push through despite what others might have to say about his career.

Joined alongside the likes of Michael Dapaah, Stefflon Don, Wes Nelson, Bandokay, Double Lz, SL, Young T and Bugsey, Konan, Big Zuu and more, this was a tournament to remember! From the branded freshly made pizza and bottled water, to the cheerleaders and bright orange kits, the Revenge Athletic team came out in full force to kick ass – and that they did! Brimming with a high energy from the offset, the anticipation was high to see who would grab the winning score, and thanks to Jordan Spencer, Revenge Athletics were able to bag the night!

Wes Nelson said; “I was gassed to play, I love playing basketball. I played all the way through school and most of college, not competitively but I’ve always enjoyed so I’m gassed to have played with AJ Tracey and the London Lions today”.

Joe Ikhinmwin, the Team Captain of the London Lions said; “It’s a super exciting night of basketball, I’ve always known that AJ Tracey has been heavily influenced by basketball through his music. So it’s great for him to join up with us at the London Lions, the only professional basketball team in London, and have a great night of basketball with a whole bunch of celebrities and some of the best British talent. It’s been really fun.”
