Baille Funk meets Travis Scoot in Titouan L.C.S.’s New Single, ‘Youzou’
24 Apr 2026
French producer and curator Titouan L.C.S. announces his new single, a bold preview of his forthcoming May 2026 album Hiver Blanc à Abidjan. Emerging from the rich electronic circuits of Paris and La Rochelle, Titouan’s artistry is rooted in global connection, pushing beyond Eurocentric frameworks to deliver something far more fluid and culturally relevant.
The new single arrives as a groove-heavy, high-impact release, shaped by his deep appreciation for Baile funk and elevated through a creative synergy with DJ and designer Seny D. There’s a rawness here that feels intentional, percussive, urgent, and alive. Sonically, the track sits somewhere between the atmospheric world-building of Travis Scott and the rhythmic intensity of Baille funk, creating a hybrid that feels both global and deeply personal.
Built from three years of immersive travel and collaboration across West Africa, including Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, and Cape Verde, the single reflects Titouan’s concept of ‘sound travel diaries.’ It captures the tension and beauty of movement, identity, and cultural exchange, translating lived experience into a layered, genre-blurring sound.
The track fuses poetic techno and trance textures with rugged, percussive foundations, all anchored by live instrumentation, a defining element of Titouan’s evolving sound since 2015. This organic approach adds depth and authenticity, a direct extension of his transformative “musical exile” in Abidjan during winter 2023.
