Alternative singer-songwriter Bel Cobain has released her latest single, ‘Unlikely’, a track inspired her trip to Mexico earlier this year. Her and her friends began to be stuck in a series of paranormal events whilst travelling between Oaxaca and Mexico City, echoed in the haunting bassline of the track.

Cobain was also inspired by the history of the indigenous Mexican people whilst travelling, as evidenced by the lyric,  ‘feeling sorry for my people who got rigged by the systematic default’. The artist has worked with the likes of Hak Baker and Lex Amor, crafting a name for herself in the Alternative space.

‘Unlikely’ has been taken from Cobain’s upcoming EP, ‘Radical Forgiveness’, which is due in December. With poignant lyricism and smooth vocal performances, the future looks bright for the singer-songwriter.
