Berna Unveils ‘East2Essex’ Mixtape

Having shone as a freestyle rapper for multiple years, Berna has come through with his new mixtape, ‘East2Essex’. Alongside the release the artist has also dropped a video for ‘Know Me’, featuring tiny boost.

Across 9 tracks the artist is able to prove himself as an elite lyricist, showing his keen ear for production and storytelling ability. With features from the likes of Boost and Glizz as well as deeper cuts like ‘Rap Saved Me’ and ‘E.A.S.T’, this is clearly a strong body of work.

Speaking on the project, Berna states:

“Growing up in East London with my mum & 6 siblings we learned never to take anything for granted as we made do with so little & to ALWAYS look out for each other. I never knew how drastically my life would change when we left Newham. After my big brother died, everything changed. I went from being a bubbly, academic, aspiring footballer to a soulless shell of my former self…then something changed. My new surroundings encouraged me to want better for myself. God illuminated my entire world and I found new purpose. From dark to light, bad to good, rags to riches…East2Essex.”
