Berna Comes Through With New Single ‘Straight Outta Newham’

East London rapper Berna has announced his return to the game with his latest single, ‘Straight Outta Newham’. The track samples the instantly recognisable ‘Sunshine’ by Ron Ayres and shows why the rapper has been hotly tipped for so long.

The new track comes in anticipation of Berna’s upcoming mixtape, ‘EAST2ESSEX’. Originally born in South Africa, the artist found his home in Newham before moving to Essex after 12 years. The new track serves as an autobiographical tale of Berna’s life, as well as highlighting the trials and tribulations within the borough.

Since bursting onto the scene with his Bl@ckbox Freestyle as a teenager, the journey for the artist has been far from linear. However, with a Daily Duppy under his belt and still only 24, Berna’s best years are surely still ahead of him, and ‘Straight Outta Newham’ is a prime example of this.
