Hailing from Plaistow in East London, British-Ghanaian record producer and mix engineer Jae5 has no doubt been one of the pioneering creative forces behind some of the biggest rap and afro-infused hits over the last decade.

Working frequently with the likes of J Hus, Dave, Skepta, Rema and many more, the 32-year-old GRAMMY Award winner is one of the most reputable names in the International music industry – his discography and ability to bring the best out of artists in the studio solidifies that.

A multi-talented creative, JAE5 fuses Afrobeat rhythms with elements of UK rap, dancehall, and contemporary R&B, with production often characterised by a vibrant blend of infectious melodies, hard-hitting 808s, and lush synths layered with intricate percussion that reflects his roots. The mastermind behind hits such as “Propeller” with Dave and BNXN, “Location” with Dave and Burna Boy, “Options” by NSG and Tion Wayne and “Dimension” with Skepta and Rema, you could print a receipt-long list of tracks produced by the London native that have gone on to do numbers.

Having produced so many tracks that have become part of the soundtrack to many of our lives to date, there’s no doubt of JAE5’s influence in Black British music and culture, where he remains an inspiration to those rising the ranks below him and those coming up from the bottom. A testament to the British music scene, his creative expertise has helped to carve out refreshing new sounds in the industry,
