BLANCO Returns With New single “Regime” And Announces Upcoming EP ‘Paradise on a Lifeboat’
23 Oct 2025
One of the UK’s hottest and most revered lyricists in the game,Blanco has dropped his first solo release of the year, “Regime”. The single is taken from his forthcoming EP Paradise on a Lifeboat, set to release 21st November.
Layered over kuduro-influenced production, a genre born in Angola’s capital Luanda during a time of civil unrest, where music became both an outlet and a revolutionary force, the track nods to Blanco’s Angolan heritage while drawing on the genre’s spirit of resilience. Choppy percussion intertwines with bright guitar riffs, creating an infectious bounce that contrasts with its sobering subject matter.
Through hard-hitting lines that reference disinformation, global unrest and the desensitisation of war “soldiers die without purpose, peace ain’t on Earth”, Blanco reflects on the human cost of conflict while questioning whether society truly confronts the struggles that shape daily life. “Regime” reveals more reflective side to Blanco’s artistry, cementing his reputation as one of the UK’s most important rap voices.
