Blessing Offor honours Mother on ‘Crying Out Loud’ from album ‘Real’

Two-time GRAMMY nominee Blessing Offor has released his deeply personal new album Real, a 16-track collection born from a season of profound loss and artistic growth. The album features standout tracks like “Lift Me Up,” “The Morning,” and a duet with Dolly Parton on ‘Somebody’s Child’. The record also includes contributions from a list of acclaimed co-writers and producers such as Hank Bentley, Fraser Churchill, and Morgan Taylor Reid, who each enrich the record with their pen.

The album also includes track ‘Crying Out Loud’, a deeply personal ode to Offor’s Mother. “At my mom’s funeral, my brothers and I had our arms around each other crying. This guy said to us, ‘It’s not the time for that. Get it together.’ I yelled, ‘Are you really telling us not to cry at our mom’s funeral?!’ This love, tragedy, and loss is big enough to cry over.
