Following the incredible success of hit singles ‘Feeling’ and ‘Outside’, Nigerian vocalist Buju has finally unveiled his debut project – ‘Sorry I’m Late’.

One can easily deduce from the EP’s caption alone, this is a project that has long been in the pipeline. Appropriately titled, Buju apologizes to disgruntled fans for the delay in new music. Yet as the saying goes, ‘all things come to those who wait’ and indeed fans shall be impressed by the masterfully produced project.

Though still early in his career, the diverse EP is packed with mid-tempo jams that feel as if they have been composed by an elder of the afro-fusion scene. Spanning just under twenty minutes, Buju gives listeners an insight into his multi-layered personality track by track.

Working with a range of in-demand producers including – Timi Jay, Rexxie, Denzl, Steph and Perlz, Sorry I’m Late is a perfect introduction to one of Africa’s most promising voices.
