‘Thatha’ is the fresh Amapiano release uniting the dynamic talents of high-energy emcee and dancer Captain Lulaz, London-based DJ and genre-shaping producer Nicky Summers, and South African-born singer, dancer, and creative powerhouse Nqobilé.

Blending vibrant beats with storytelling rooted in Zulu lyricism ‘Thatha’ translates to “take it” or “own it”. Reinforcing the message of owning your voice and your vision.

The track is born in partnership with pioneering music collective Dankie Sounds, and is the latest chapter in Johnnie Walker’s Bold Steps Initiative, a platform that has supported each artist with a career bursary to invest in their work, ensuring that they have the resources and opportunities to help them succeed.
