One of the UK’s most compelling emerging voices, fusing spoken word with genre-fluid production, Dan Whitlam has continued his sharp ascent with the release of emotive and soul-laced new EP entitled ‘Mama Said It’.

‘Mama Said It’ spans an intimate journey through identity, memory and emotional growth – a five-track project that features the title track (‘Mama Said It’), a moving collaboration with Sophie Faith which comes in the form of an exploration of maternal love, generational widsom and lyrical honestly.

“So excited about this next single ‘Mama said it’. Co- written with EDBL and Sophie Faith it’s a really upbeat track that focuses on the themes of home and comfort. I remember sending the track to Sophie and she instantly replied with her main melody. It just all really worked and stuck” – Dan Whitlam

With his live shows renowned for being a masterclass in raw emotion and lyrical storytelling, Whitlam has announced UK and EU tour dates for later this year, set to follow his debut book ‘I Don’t Want To Settle: Words for a lost generation’ which comes out in September.
