Fresh off tour with international superstars Central Cee and AJ Tracey, fast-rising Australian prodigy DAY1 enlists UK favourite JAY1 and fellow rap talents Gambino La MG and Kahukx for the remix of “MBAPPÉ” – via Warner AUS.

Boasting a swaggering beat and unrelenting energy, DAY1 displays his multi-
linguistic ability across the addictive soundscape, merging his mixed Maori and Australian heritage in a confident, sleek style of contemporary rap. Seamlessly blending with Kahukx’s bilingual bars, Gambino La MG’s high-octane flows and JAY1’s signature potent rap prowess to create a scene anthem, further pointing towards an ever-growing relationship between two Australian and UK spaces.

Sitting on 585K dedicated monthly Spotify listeners and well over 76M streams, the young talent is rapidly building a cult following across continents, first debuting his Platinum-selling record “BOSS”, which lead to key collaborations with international superstars like A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Australian favourite Hooligan Hefs.

Having signed to Warner Music AUS and in the same management stable as
Grammy-nominated artist The Kid LAROI, DAY1 has quickly gained major critical attention across the likes of NME, Vogue, GQ, Purple Sneakers and Acclaim all proclaiming his energetic and unapologetic brand of rap as a standout. On a direct path for an international crossover, DAY1’s most recent record “Me, Myself And I” saw the young talent journey across London, collaborating with key UK creative Kaylum Dennis (Stormzy, Wretch 32, Smoke Boys), who produced and directed the electric official music video that debuted across GRM DAILY. Smashing well over 100K views in 24 hours, DAY1’s clear rap nous gained regular play time
from BBC RADIO 1XTRA’s Snoochie Shy, as well as further UK tastemaker support from the likes of Clash, Notion, Viper and Mixtape Madness.

Capping off a standout summer, the young artist landed pivotal support slots with London pioneers Central Cee and AJ Tracey, where he toured across Australia’s major cities while being a part of Clint’s CRTZ.RTW “Down Unda” activation. Despite only having a short time in the limelight, DAY1’s impulse for combining cut-throat bars and infectious instrumentals is quickly poising him for significant success. Keep your eyes on DAY1 as he sets out to be one of Australia’s hottest breakout stars.
