Deki Alem share brand new single and visuals ‘Pretty Toes’

Swedish sonic anarchists Deki Alem have returned with a frenetic new single, “Pretty Toes”, marking a new chapter for Sammy and Johnny Bennett as they return to their hometown to Gothenburg to live, create and build a new space for their music.
Built around an infectious and propulsive acid bassline, gritty distortion and explosive vocal flows, “Pretty Toes” is restless, immediate and impossible to pin down, the anarchic blends and sound design propelling the track into a slightly dystopian scape.
“We’re back home in Gothenburg now, building a new space, throwing ideas around and just enjoying working in a much more fragmented way,” they explain. That shift in mindset feeds directly into “Pretty Toes”, a track that favours instinct over convention, letting its ideas run wild rather than forcing them into a traditional pop framework. “Bored of always looking for a hook or something lengthy to grab an ear,” the duo say. “Right now if the demo got legs, we letting that run.”
The accompanying music video, directed by longtime creative collaborator Broken Int, drops into the hazy, chaotic aftermath of a party. Scuzzy, unpredictable and full of life, it captures the kind of unfiltered energy that exists when the night refuses to end, a fitting visual counterpart to the track’s distorted, off-kilter momentum.
