Detroit’s Lelo Taps in with Multi-Platinum Rapper Joey Bada$$ for “Yoppenheimer” Remix

Detroit native Lelo has dropped the highly anticipated remix of his hit single “Yoppenheimer”, featuring multi-platinum Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$, alongside an accompanying music video.

The long-awaited collaboration was sparked earlier this year after Joey Bada$$ co-signed Lelo via a fit check. The remix revives Lelo’s 2024 breakout single (with over 35M+ streams), blending the rhyme schemes of classic Brooklyn hip-hop with Detroit’s gritty melodic sensibilities.

On the track’s meaning and the collaboration, Lelo explains, “This song reflects my daily feelings; getting fly is regular to me. I wanted fans to feel what I feel every day; this song perfectly depicts that.” He added that having an artist like Joey Bada$$ feel the impact of the song enough to hop on the remix “just made sense“.
