London sextet Home Counties have unveiled their latest single, ‘Meet Me In The Flat Roof’. The track has been accompanied by a surreal visual shot on a bowls green by Mike Upson.

The title of the new track acts as an ode to the now unfashionable flat roof pub, offering a tongue in cheek look at gentrification in the UK. Home counties were previously featured on EAFC 25, while this single features an Electronic inspired instrumental courtesy of producer Al Doyle.

Speaking on the release, singer Will Harrison states:

“On one level it’s pub appreciation, a love letter (of sorts) – but one I hope conveys some self-awareness of how insufferable it makes me sound. It’s about that tendency to brag about going to ‘authentic’ places whilst simultaneously contributing to their gentrification at the same time. The joke’s on us as much as anything.”
