ARIA Award–winning producer and Music Victoria Award recipient JUJO has quietly established himself as one of Australia’s most versatile and forward-thinking electronic artists. A Melbourne native with a global creative reach, JUJO’s music sits at the intersection of dancefloor nostalgia and emotional release, with tracks built as much for catharsis as for movement.

Drawing inspiration from the golden era of 2010s festival house, the melodic sweep of Kaskade, the anthemic lift of Axwell, and the communal euphoria of Swedish House Mafia, JUJO balances these influences with the sharper, more audacious edge of SebastiAn, Deadmau5, and Daft Punk. The result is a sound that feels both expansive and intimate, capturing late-night drives, glowing cityscapes, and those rare moments when dance music becomes a mirror for the inner self.

With Currents, his new five-track EP released via French imprint Sidekick Music, JUJO enters a defining chapter of his career. The project distills years of personal growth, emotional work, and sonic refinement into his most cohesive and expressive release to date. Each track functions as a chapter in a broader journey, using water as a central metaphor – symbolising depth, vulnerability, and the natural ebb and flow of emotion.

Inspired by the timeless energy of Ministry of Sound and electronic icons like Avicii, SebastiAn, and Daft Punk, Currents blurs the line between introspective storytelling and euphoric release. From moments of quiet reflection to hands-in-the-air peaks, the EP is a meditation on connection, healing, and forward motion.
