The team behind the late K1 have released his posthumous single, ‘Tomorrow’ featuring KKEDA to ensure they do everything they can to help leave a lasting mark on a scene that K1 loved.

In August, K1 opened up to his supporters about his ongoing battle with cancer, to then be unfairly taken too soon on 8th November, K1 will be leaving a legacy behind him. Over the years, music became a source of therapy for him, it was his everything and something that kept him inspired every day. If he wasn’t in the studio, he was listening to music in his car, and if he wasn’t doing that he was spending time with his family, partner and close-knit group of friends between Derby and London.

“On behalf of K1’s family and management team, although we are still processing his loss, we are committed to continuing his legacy just as he intended. Music meant everything to K1 and our aim is to share it over the coming year with all the people who supported his dream. He wanted to release
‘Tomorrow’ as his next single and at the time of filming, K1 suggested using a double as he wasn’t well enough to shoot the video. We hope you enjoy the new music as much as we do and from the bottom of our hearts, we can’t thank you enough for the support you’ve given him and all your kind words.”

Born and raised in the East Midlands, K1 made a huge impact ever since his second single, ‘Broken Hearted Crook’ went viral last year and firmly put him on the map within the UK’s thriving Rap scene. Coming from outside of the capital fueled his drive and pushed him to work harder and fight for his place not only for himself but for Derby. There was so much more than meets the eye with this lyricist, he didn’t want to make one specific style and his aim was to become one of the most versatile Rappers in the scene and he did exactly that. K1 cited the likes of; Eminem, Juice Wrld, XXXTENTACION, Little Tjay and Drake and his biggest influences as an artist.

K1 had already completed his debut album which he had planned to drop early next year. The whole team behind him are committed to continuing to build his legacy, just as he had intended.
