Alternative UK Rapper Kam-Bu has come through with his sophomore EP, ‘Built 2 Last’. The South London native experiments with a variety of sounds from 90’s Rave culture all the way through to Grime and Dub.

After announcing himself to the masses with his debut EP, the critically acclaimed ‘Black On Black’, Kam-Bu has gone from strength to strength as an artist. His recent collaboration with P-rallel and BXKS on ‘Evening Time’ marked a strong start to his musical output this year, while the lead singles of ‘LIVE-O’ and ‘ETON MESS’ have shown a different facet to the artist. His sharp lyricism and unique production style make Kam-Bu stand out amongst his peers, combining a multitude of genres with politically conscious wordplay.

Speaking on the project, the artist said:

“I wanted to really explore my heritage and how that informed sound system culture on British soil. I’ve been having fun with nuances of different dance music created here and across the water. The process was extremely enjoyable, and so is performing the tape, I love seeing people dance and skank at my shows rather than only moshing, so you’ll be hearing a lot more of this sound! ‘ Built 2 Last ‘ the saga continues!”

The rapper has managed to create his own lane by merging the sounds of Rap with inspiration from Rave and sound system culture. This will allow Kam-Bu to create diverse live experiences with his new project and make him stand out as a pioneering voice in the UK Alternative Rap scene.
