Kano & Stormzy Are Nominated For A Mercury Prize Award!

Kano and Stormzy are amongst the list of stars that have been nominated for a Mercury Prize Award!

Both Stormzy and Kano are making their second appearance on the list! The nation’s favorite rapper Stormzy, is up for his critically acclaimed album Heavy Is The Head and Grime veteran Kano has been nominated for his album Hoodies All Summer.

Now celebrating 28 years of the Mercury Prize Award, the albums chosen for the award are picked from 12 panelists and the final result will be called on the 19th of September! Each album chosen has been released in the last 12 months; Charli XCX’s album ‘how i’m feeling now’, Dua Lipa’s ‘Future Nostalgia’ and Moses Boyd’s ‘Dark Matter’ – the list is a tough one to call!

Last year, Dave won the Mercury Prize for his debut album Psychodrama.
