Fresh from his standout performance at Cloud X festival, Kwaku Asante has delivered his latest single, ‘The Real Thing’. Set across a vibrant drum pattern courtesy of multi-platinum producer Fred Cox, Asante gets introspective when considering the vulnerability he finds himself in on the search for love.

The singer-songwriter has enjoyed a strong year with a steady run of releases throughout 2023, finding success with his ‘Wanderlust’ EP and also managing to secure a performance on the iconic COLORS platform. This latest release sees Asante gear up for his new project, ‘Blue Solstice Volume 2’, culminating what has been a prolific year for the artist.

Speaking on the track, Asante said:

“The constant quest for something or someone that is right for me, not just in a romantic sense but also in a platonic sense as well. Speaking on things regarding paranoia which I don’t believe can co-exist with “The Real Thing”. I refuse to ignore what I and many other people deserve, a support system of people who care about you. I still acknowledge the current problem in our age to commit and the fear of opening up to someone.”
