Leigh-Anne Drops New Uptempo Track “Been A Minute”

Fresh off a headline-making solo run, singer, songwriter and former Little Mix star Leigh-Anne returns with her latest single “Been A Minute”, a vibrant, feel-good anthem that also samples Masters At Work.

Produced by Elijah “GYW Eli” Ross (Coco Jones, Lucky Daye, Tinashe) and Lasse Qvist, and co-written by Leigh-Anne, “Been A Minute” comes with a piping hot video shot by Femi Lade.

The track marks the first new music from the since her 2024 solo EP ‘No Hard Feelings’, an exhilarating project that illustrated Leigh-Anne’s ongoing creative evolution.

“Been A Minute”, sees Leigh-Anne step further into her own lane, exuding confidence, sensuality, and clarity as she reflects on reconnecting with herself after time away.

Her on-point vocals, and the catchy dancehall beats are perfectly primed for summer use. Channelling freedom and emotional growth, all while keeping things light and flirty. It’s the kind of track made for open windows, late-night linkups and solo spins around your bedroom.

When asked about the track, Leigh-Anne shares “There’s something powerful about sampling a song that shaped me growing up. I used to play it with friends when I was younger, and now I’ve reimagined it as the soundtrack to my comeback. “Been a Minute” is fun, nostalgic, and the first taste of this new era.”

With more solo material rumoured to be on the way, “Been A Minute” proves Leigh-Anne isn’t just finding her voice, she’s owning it.
