South London ‘Afro-RnB’ pioneer, singer and producer Maleek Berry has made his awaited return with new single, ‘My Way’ out now via Berry’s Room.

Following a brief hiatus, the Maleek we all know and love is back better than ever following some time away from the spotlight. Arguably one of the most influential musicians in the UK for bringing his sound of African-inspired RnB to the masses both at home and across Africa – most notably Nigeria – Maleek
is ready to pick up where he left off. Celebrated for making songs for the ladies, ‘My Way’ embodies elements of both old and new-school Maleek, capturing his warmth with an instantly recognisable melody and playful lyrics.

Maleek’s career to date is admirable and his fans have remained incredibly loyal as he’s evolved from a game-changing producer into an international artist. Clapham born and raised, South London has been hugely influential with its rich musical DNA, most notably Maleek grew up close to the iconic So Solid Crew who helped paved the way for him to follow his dreams. His earliest memories of music started at secondary school where he began making beats for a Grime group but fast forward to 2011 and with an urge to return to Lagos where his family are from, Maleek found himself making music for the likes of Davido and Wizkid and the rest is history. Ever since then, Maleek has been instrumental in kicking down doors for the incredibly vast popular genres stemming from Africa (most commonly dubbed Afrobeats) and bringing them to audiences around the world.

With never-ending credentials to his name, the double MOBO nominee’s biggest hits thus far include, BRIT-certified silver ‘Kontrol’ and BRIT-certified gold ‘Sit Back Down’. This distinctive musician who effortlessly does it all has so much more to share with the world with 2023 poised to be his year. Maleek’s global sound is about to be taken to new heights, with some huge collaborations soon to be shared as he sets to release his highly anticipated debut album. Maleek is back in his element and exactly where he wants to be before saying goodbye to 2022.
