Mazvita Unveils ‘Mars’ Project

Emerging R&B talent Mazvita has come through with her latest project, ‘Mars’. Across nine tracks the 21 year old Manchester starlet showcases her ability for charged, emotive lyricism as well as a vulnerable, melodic vocal range.

Following on from last year’s ‘Obsessive Destructive Nature’ EP, Mazvita has certainly demonstrated an evolution of her sound on Mars. The artist covers a wide range of emotions in what makes for a healing listen, as she grapples with the changes in her life as she enters her 20’s.

Effortlessly blending poetic lyricism with thoughtful and considered soundscapes, Mazvita is well on her way to take the next step in a flourishing career. She has also taken the time to raise money for Palestine and Sudan through her listening parties and performances, demonstrating an unwavering moral compass that will stand her in good stead going forward.

Speaking on the project, she states:

“Mars is a sentimental project for me, almost an ode to the complex emotions I was facing in my late teens and early twenties. It feels so cathartic to finally have it out. At the end of the day, this project is a compilation of adolescent angst, and I’m putting it out hoping maybe a therapist finds it and tells me what the hell was going on in my mind.”
