20 Jun 2019

Following Red Bull Music’s announcement of the Red Bull Music Festival yesterday they have given Mixtape Madness the exclusive on the line-up announcement for Coded Language – a discussion into the distinct language of London’s music scene – from grime to afrobashment to drill.
The event occurs following AM’s appearance alongside Skengdo, Krept and Konan at parliament to discuss the silencing of drill.

The line up for Coded Language

Wretch 32, Steel Banglez, AM (Skengdo & AM), Bridget Minamore are among those on an expert line-up to explore Multicultural London English (MLE) – one of the most vibrant forms of English, born from creativity, migration, and mouths that have been moulded by the city. Hosted by Kieran Yates, Londoners are invited to the British Library to hear from those deeply immersed in the scene. Followed by music and performances from Kenny Allstar, James Massiah and more.
