Fresh off a special in-store performance at Phonica Records, British electronic pioneers Mount Kimbie have today unveiled their highly anticipated contribution to the acclaimed fabric presents… mix series.
Speaking about the mix, Mount Kimbie’s Kai Campos says “the mix is based around the last two years of getting deeper into the clubbier side of Mount Kimbie. I wanted to avoid over-thinking it or approaching it in a more conceptual or mixtape fashion and instead represent what I’ve actually been playing in clubs. A lot of these tracks I’ve rinsed over the last couple of years, so it felt like the right time to celebrate the music and then retire them for a while. I think the more cerebral side of Mount Kimbie has been covered in previous mixes, so I wanted this one to be more direct, while still including a few nods to our past.”
To celebrate the new mix, Mount Kimbie will DJ and host a very special club night at fabric this Sept 12th, which will also include sets from Yu Su, DJ Python, Galcher Lustwerk, Tijana T, Leo Gosh and Mor Elian.
