East London artist Murkage Dave has delivered a ten track mixtape titled, ‘I Don’t Do Love Songs – A Valentine’s Compilation’. The project is an amalgamation of tracks old and new all falling under a Valentine’s theme, with Dave shining through as an elite storyteller and conveyor of emotion.

The new project features a selection of fan favourites, including ‘Put You On My Shoulders’, ‘White Nikes In The Rain’, and ‘I Don’t Do Love Songs’, the latter of which has been reworked twice for the tape. Furthermore, listeners can hear three new Murkage Dave songs, including ‘Get The Girl, Save The World’, which acted as a lead single to the new project. We can also hear a new collaboration between Dave and Manga Saint Hilaire, with both artists being long term collaborators after their joint project ‘We Need To Look After Us’.

The East London singer-songwriter is certainly building upon the success he found last year. 2022 saw Dave drop his second album, ‘The City Needs A Hero’, as well as embarking on a nationwide tour. Previously working with the likes of Jaykae, Skepta, Caroline Polachek, and Mike Skinner, the artist’s influences are limitless which makes for a unique listening experience. This new tape serves a taster for Murkage Dave fans, with more music expected to drop in the coming months.
