Nia Archives Comes Through With New Drop ‘Bad Gyalz’
3 Aug 2023
Nia Archives, an exciting new voice in the world of Dance and Jungle music, has delivered her latest single, ‘Bad Gyalz’. The anthemic new offering is a celebration of female empowerment and gender diversity, and has been accompanied by a vintage, VHS music video shot by Talia Beale.
Nia Archives has enjoyed sustained success over the past two years, announcing herself to a mainstream audience with a variety of Jungle driven tracks that often have a personal touch through her lyricism. To celebrate the release of ‘Bad Gyalz’, the artist will be holding a day party for girls, non-binary people and members of the LGBTQ+ community on Sunday 6th August.
Speaking on the track, Nia Archives states:
“I was on ma way to the studio with Clipz listening to Ranking Ann who is one of my fave MCs – period. And then I was just thinking about tha fact that like whenever I go to one of my shows, it’s like 85% women age 18 -25 which is so amazing! And they are all baddies, absolute junglists. So I wanted to make a song that represents that and tha women that come to ma raves. And that’s how Bad Gyalz was born!”
Having released her latest EP, ‘Sunrise Bang Ur Against The Wall’ earlier this year and making big moves on the festival scene, Nia Archives has demonstrated a high level of talent that has made the genre of Jungle more visible. ‘Bad Gyalz’ is a celebration of her place as a woman within her genre and music in general, showing that she can make a serious impact within her scene and beyond.
