18 Jul 2023
Vermont singer songwriter Noah Kahan has called upon Post Malone for a rework of his viral hit, ‘Dial Drunk’. The track came from Kahan’s critically acclaimed album ‘Stick Season’, with the original version already racking up over 50 million streams across all platforms.
Kahan has enjoyed a rapid rise in the last year thanks to his wistful songwriting and stripped back production. His collaboration with Post Malone works perfectly as the Grammy nominated superstar treads the line between Hip-Hop, Country, and Pop, making for a perfect pairing between the two artists.
Speaking on the collaboration, Kahan stated:
“The reaction to ‘Dial Drunk’ has been so incredible and so overwhelming. I never know when or why a song is going to land, and to see the meaning and connection you have drawn from this track has inspired me in a way I have never been inspired before. You can only imagine my shock and excitement when Post told me he wanted to not only sing on it, but write his own verse. I have been listening to Post Malone since ‘White Iverson’ dropped, even covering ‘Congratulations’ right when my career was beginning. It feels like a full circle moment, and it has been a dream come true to make this collaboration happen. Thank you so much Post for blessing me with your involvement.”
In what could be a defining moment in Kahan’s career as he links up with an artist he previously looked up to, the career of the New England singer songwriter looks set to go from strength to strength. With a UK tour on the horizon, there is no doubt that Noah Kahan’s stocks are rising and he looks to be in a good place as his career skyrockets.
