US R&B vocalist PHABO has come through with his latest single, ‘Casamigos’ in preparation for his hotly anticipated studio album. The artist shines across laid back, vibrant percussion that showcases the innate songwriting ability of the artist, as well as his unmissable vocal ability.

A native to San Diego, PHABO rose to prominence thanks to his 2021 debut album, ‘Soulquarius’. The Californian has worked with a host of R&B’s most exciting names, including Duckwrth, Eric Bellinger, and the UK’s own Shae Universe.

Speaking on his latest track, PHABO said:

“When I wrote ‘Casamigos’, it was a song meant to embody the emotion of a bitter-sweet companionship. Losing something you’re not sure is worth chasing. Then taking on this false sense of control once reacquired, knowing that time and experiences have transpired between both you and your old flame. ‘Casamigos’ is every bad decision’s accountability partner.” 

With a clear talent for storytelling and instropective lyricism, PHABO is carving out a niche for himself as the genre of R&B continues to have a resurgence. As the artist gears up for his album release, the Californian artist has the opportunity to position himself at the forefront of his genre.
