Standing as one of the main artists who were able to break through the Soundcloud generation, Trippie Redd – whether you like him or not – is an astronomical artist who’s popularity is almost impossible to gauge, and by that, I mean there is a LOT of Trippie fans. Having teased fans with ‘Trip At Knight’ for quite a while, the US hit-maker finally followed through with the full-length project. Now, if you are already a fan of Trippie then you will know it’s almost impossible to box him into one specific sound. Following the release of ‘NEON SHARK vs PEGASUS’ his first ever Rock album earlier this year alongside Travis Barker, ‘Trip At Knight’ is a fluid project that’s scattered across various fun, whacky, and energy-driven sonics.

Posing as his fourth studio album, this body of work is spread across 17 tracks featuring pre-released hits “Miss The Rage” alongside Playboi Carti, and “Holy Smokes” with Lil Uzi Vert. ‘Trip At Knight’ also houses a star-studded line up from Lil Durk, Polo G, Juice WRLD, XXXTentacion, Ski Mask the Slump God, BabyFace Ray, Sada Baby, Icewear Vezzo, and So Faygo.

Introducing the album with the woozy sounds of “Molly Hearts”, this up-beat, digi-toned, and energy-driven release ultimately sets the tone for whats yet to come. As we glide through the bouncing sounds of “Holy Smokes”, “Super Cell”, and “Miss The Rage”, we are swiftly greeted by both Juice WRLD and XXXTENTACION on “Matt Hardy 999” and “Danny Phantom”, paying homage to two exceptional – and hugely missed – talents who’s sound will continue to live on through Trippie’s legacy.

Not one to shy away from jumping on any sound or genre he feels to, ‘Trip At Knight’ hones in on his “commercial” fan base and for the most part did a decent job on connecting the features together, especially in “Rich MF”. Although it can be argued he’s well and truly blown this sound out of the park, and that’s only evident with his previous explorations in other genres, ‘Trip At Knight’ is a quality project that houses many additional bangers for your playlists.
