Rising Songstress Enny Explores Gentrification & More On Mellow Drop “Same Old”
16 Mar 2021
Following the release of a slew of impressive freestyles not to mention her breakout smash “Peng Black Girls”, Enny has returned with a brand new and highly awaited single entitled “Same Old”.
Housing a rhythmic and textured backdrop, “Same Old” explores various topics from gentrification, Brexit and an unrequited love as Enny navigates us through the up-beat production with her butter-like tone and head-bopping melodies. Welcoming the track with distinctive flows, “Calm and collected / Hard and respected / Pride is neglected / Those gold chains on your neck look expensive”, she raps effortlessly.
Over the last few months, the rising songstress has built quite the following and rightfully so as she uses her platform to spread awareness and bring light to various important topics; which in turn enabled her to accumulate further support from a line of boast-worthy names including Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Skepta and Didier Drogba. Although Enny may only have a handful of tracks behind her, this year is looking like a big one for the London native!
Speaking on the track, Enny commented; “There are so many beautiful moments and feelings attached to this track from the moment it was created and I hope that anyone that listens to it is able to experience that energy when they hear it”.
