A rising star coming out of Nigeria, Ruger has released his debut album, ‘Ru The World’,  via Promised Land Recordings/Jonzing World. Ruger has linked up with a plethora of artists across the project and is showing why he is thought of so highly amongst his peers.

Ruger rose to attention off the back of his smash hit, ‘Asiwaju’, which garnered over 100 million streams. His infectious appetite for hitmaking spreads through on this first album, working with stellar producers including long term collaborator KukBeats as well as Kadenza, who has previously worked with the likes of Jorja Smith and Beyoncé. Moreover, Ruger has managed to pull in a strong supporting cast in terms of features, including Stefflon Don and Projexx amongst others.

Ruger has pioneered the sound of ‘AfroDancehall’, combining influences from both his native Nigeria and Afrobeat with elements of Caribbean Dancehall music. The artist will also be embarking on a UK tour in October, with the dates available below:

London – Eventim Apollo – Oct 1st
